The Dailes Theater continues its strategic "stretching" of the big stage with the contribution of foreign creative teams, maximum use of video and big screens. You can feel that it electrifies and excites the ensemble in a healthy way. The same is true for me as an audience member. In Winter's Tale, the grip that time has on the audience is real and compelling.

William Shakespeare's less well-known play The Winter's Tale (1609) provided the inspiration for British director Jeff James and his team to create a visually sumptuous, fast-paced and somehow even witty anti-utopia about the situation that might soon arise when we ask each other: which computer game were you born and bred into?
